The Teen Patti Master app is best known for its Teen Patti tables, but most of the lobby is made up of variations. Each one keeps the basic three-card game and changes one rule: wild cards, reversed rankings, extra cards or a points target. That single change can turn a strong hand into a weak one. Here is what each variation does and how to adjust.

The exact list of tables changes between updates. If a variation below is missing from your lobby, it may be rotated out for a while.

Classic Teen Patti

The standard game. Three cards each, blind and seen betting, show and side show, and the usual rankings: trail, pure sequence, sequence, colour, pair, high card. Learn this first. Every other variation assumes you know it. Our how to play guide covers it button by button, and the Teen Patti rules and sequence chart has the full order of hands with odds.

Joker

After the deal, one card is turned face up, or drawn at random by the app. Every card of that rank becomes a joker (wild) for everyone at the table. A joker can stand in for any card to make the best possible hand.

How it changes the game: with four wild cards in the deck, trails and sequences become much more common. A pair, which is a decent hand in Classic, is often not enough.

Tip: if you hold one joker, you have at least a pair. With two jokers, you have a trail. Bet accordingly and fold unimproved high cards quickly.

AK47

Every ace, king, four and seven is wild. That is sixteen wild cards in the deck.

How it changes the game: strong hands are everywhere. Trails and sequences are common, and a hand without any wild card is usually weak.

Tip: count your wild cards first. No wild card means pack in most situations, unless you already have a colour or sequence.

Muflis (lowball)

The rankings are turned upside down. The lowest hand wins.

  • The best hand is the lowest high card: 2-3-5 of mixed suits.
  • Pairs lose to high cards, colours lose to pairs, and so on.
  • A trail becomes the worst hand you can hold.

Tip: the first few hands feel strange. Say the rule to yourself: "no pair, no colour, no run, low cards". A-high hands are bad in Muflis, since the ace counts high.

999

Each hand is read as a three-digit number, with the cards as hundreds, tens and units. Tens and face cards count as zero, aces count as one. The hand closest to 999 wins. For example, 9-9-8 reads as 998.

Tip: you can choose the order of your cards to make the biggest number, so nines are what you want. A hand with two nines is usually strong.

Four card (best of four)

Each player gets four cards and chooses the best three to play. Some versions make you discard one before betting starts.

How it changes the game: everyone's hands improve, so the average winning hand is stronger. Raise your standards. A low pair is weak here.

Lowest joker and highest joker

The lowest card in your own hand (or the highest, in the highest-joker version) becomes your wild card, along with all cards of the same rank in your hand. Each player has different wild cards.

Tip: in lowest joker, a hand like 2-2-K turns both twos wild, which makes a trail of kings. Look at your hand with the wild rule in mind before deciding.

Event and special tables

The app sometimes adds event tables with their own twist on the rules, and removes them again after a few weeks. Names and rules differ between builds, so open the table's rules or info screen before you sit down. If the rules are not clear from that screen, skip the table.

Rummy basics

Rummy in the app is usually 13-card Indian Rummy. You form the 13 cards into valid groups of sequences and sets, and you need at least two sequences, one of which must be pure (no joker).

Format How it works
Points One deal. Losers pay based on the points left in their hand
Pool Players are eliminated as they reach a points limit (often 101 or 201)
Deals A fixed number of deals. Chips move after each one, and the most chips at the end wins

Rummy rewards memory and planning more than Teen Patti. Watch what other players pick up and discard.

Quick luck games

The app also has fast games such as Andar Bahar.

  • Andar Bahar: one card is shown in the middle. Cards are dealt alternately to two sides, Andar and Bahar, until a card of the same rank appears. You bet on which side it lands.

In quick luck games, no choice you make changes the odds. Rounds take seconds, so money and time can go very quickly. We suggest avoiding them entirely if you ever play for anything other than free chips. Online money games are banned across India under the Promotion and Regulation of Online Gaming Act, 2025.

Which variation should you learn after Classic?

  1. Muflis. It teaches you to read hands differently and has no wild cards.
  2. Joker. The most popular wild-card game, and a good way to learn how wild cards shift the odds.
  3. Four card. Helps you practise judging relative hand strength.

Skip AK47 and the event tables until the others feel natural.
