"Teen Patti Master refer and earn" is one of the most searched phrases around the app, usually by people hoping to earn something by inviting friends. This page explains how these programs work, where the law now stands, and the scams that copy them.

How refer and earn works in apps like this

Card-game apps of this kind usually give each player a personal invite link or code, found in a Refer, Invite or Promotion section of the app. When a friend installs through your link and starts playing, your account is credited with a reward.

The reward depends on the app and changes often. It can be free chips for a social game, or, in apps that took real-money deposits, a commission linked to what the referred players spent. The current terms are set inside the app, so check the in-app section rather than any screenshot or video, which may be years out of date.

What the 2025 law means for money referrals

The Promotion and Regulation of Online Gaming Act, 2025 bans offering online money games across India, bans advertising them in any media, including by influencers and websites, and stops banks and payment apps from processing their transactions. Its Rules took effect on 1 May 2026.

A referral program that pays you money for bringing players to an online money game is a way of promoting that game, so it falls on the wrong side of the Act. Rewards in free chips for social play are a different matter. In short:

  • Do not treat refer and earn as a way to make money. Any payout tied to money play rests on transactions the law now bars.
  • Do not post invite links to groups of strangers, which is advertising in all but name.
  • Only share the app with adults who know that money play is banned. The app is 18+.

Our legal explainer covers the Act in detail.

Scams that use "refer and earn"

The phrase draws a lot of fraud. Watch for these:

  • "₹500 per refer" groups on Telegram or WhatsApp that ask for a joining fee, a "registration charge" or a deposit before you can start. You pay, and the group disappears.
  • "Agent" or "franchise" offers that promise a share of everything your downline spends. These are pyramid schemes that pay early joiners with later joiners' money.
  • "Withdraw your referral earnings" messages that ask you to pay tax or a fee first, or to share an OTP or UPI PIN. Real apps never ask for either.
  • Look-alike invite pages that copy the app's design and ask you to log in with your phone number and OTP. Only log in inside the app.

If you lose money or share an OTP, call 1930 or report it at cybercrime.gov.in straight away. Our account safety guide explains the next steps.

How this site is paid

This site has its own version of a referral link. Our download buttons go through the address /download, which carries our referral code. If you install the app through it, the partner may pay us a referral fee. It does not change what you pay (the app is free to install) and it does not change what we write. Details are on our about page and in the disclaimer.

Frequently asked questions

Is Teen Patti Master refer and earn real?

Apps like this have run invite programs that credit the inviter when a friend installs and plays. The reward and terms change often and are shown in the app's own Refer or Invite section, so check there rather than in videos or forwards.

Is it legal to earn money from Teen Patti referrals in India?

Online money games and their promotion are banned under the Promotion and Regulation of Online Gaming Act, 2025, which took full effect on 1 May 2026. Payouts for bringing players to money games fall under that ban. Free-chip social play is not what the Act targets.

Someone wants a fee to join a refer and earn group. Is it safe?

No. Paying to join, paying to "unlock" referral earnings, or sharing an OTP or UPI PIN are signs of a scam. Report it at cybercrime.gov.in or call 1930.
